Premature babies
Did you know that in Canada, approximately 8% of babies are born prematurely, but in the United States, more than 12% of babies are premature? Some of these babies will require special care, and of that group, some will spend time in neonatal intensive care
units (NICU). Our new Premature Babies Resource Centre helps families understand the way a NICU operates and the care and treatments their babies are receiving.

Of pesticides and premature births
Recent data presented at the
Pediatric Academic Societies’ annual meeting in Toronto, Canada has shown an association between pesticides, including nitrates, and an elevated rate of premature births.
