About ADHD

This section will help you understand what causes ADHD and how it affects your child’s brain function, learning, and behaviour. It addresses some common myths about ADHD. You will also find a brief explanation of how ADHD is diagnosed and who will be involved in your child’s care.

Later this year, we will be expanding this section of the site to discuss the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD, how to help your child with ADHD at home and at school, and what to expect in the future.

Please remember that this information should only be used as a guide. Every child's situation is unique. If you have specific questions about your own child's care, please speak to your child's doctor.
